Travel & Transportation
Our wedding venue is located between two international airports, Bari (BRI), which is an hour's drive and Brindisi (BDS), which is a 35 minute drive. There are direct flights to both from the major UK airports, operated by British Airways, Easyjet and Ryanair.
If you are comfortable doing so, our advice is to rent a car for the duration of your trip. It is the best way to see the region, as well as the most cost effective. Regular taxis are not available outside of the major cities, and there is no Uber, Lyft or similar apps.
If you'd prefer not to rent a car, public transportation is also pretty reliable. Bari airport is particularly well connected with a shuttle train into the city every 20 minutes or so. Tickets cost €5 and can be purchased from kiosks at the airport. From Bari central station, Trenitalia operates almost all train services. You can download their app to help plan your trip and purchase tickets online.
